Ai Wan was born in Shanghai, China. She played female lead Tan Tianzi, a willful, passionate and headstrong multinational executive in ‘Sha Qing’, a nationally popular 23-part tale of modern China urban romance. Male leads were played by Jiang Wu and Hong Jiantao, with Meng Ji directing.
In April 2006, she’s been called “the new rising creative class in Beijing” by the most innovative “Outlook Magazine” in China. She is also well known for her insightful &progressive column in “Modern Weekly”, which it has received the most inferential publication award in China in 2005. Ai Wan has published “ the madness of appetite” with a group of famous artists, the book has stayed on the top of the best selling chart in China in 2005-2006.
